Welcome to the fourth chapter of PAR HOUSE Agency’s SEO Academy. Having understood how to optimise on-page elements, we will now focus on off-page activities, known as Off-Page SEO. You will learn how to build links and promote your site to improve its visibility in search results.
What is Off-Page SEO?
Off-Page SEO refers to activities outside of your website that affect its position in search results. This includes link building, social media, content marketing and much more.
How do you build links?
Link building is the process of gaining links to your site from other sites. It is important for SEO because Google considers links as ‘votes’ for your site. Here are some tips on how to build links:
- Create valuable content: If you create valuable, unique and helpful content, other sites will want to link to it.
- Outreach: You can contact other sites and ask them to link to your site. But remember to do this in an ethical way and not to spam.
- Guest posting: You can write guest posts on other sites and include a link to your site in the content or in the author’s bio.
How do you promote your site?
Promoting your site is also important for Off-Page SEO. For example, you can use social media, content marketing, email marketing and other techniques to raise awareness about your site and attract more traffic.
Off-Page SEO is a key part of optimising a website for search engines. By building links and promoting our site, we can improve its visibility in search results.
