What the term really means
Agent2Agent is a communication protocol that enables collaboration between AI agents representing different systems or organisations.
How it works in practice
A2A lets one agent delegate work to another without exposing the complete internal implementation of either system.
The decision to make before implementation
Before connecting agents, agree identity, task format, status, permissions, timeout and error reporting.
How to verify that it works
Record request origin, delegation hops, rejected requests and responsibility for the final result. Compare results with an agreed baseline and review routine cases, difficult exceptions and human hand-offs separately. A practical A2A test should have an owner, a review date and a recorded example of an outcome the team will not accept.
The PAR HOUSE Agency approach
We approach A2A from the workflow rather than a tool demonstration. Before connecting agents, agree identity, task format, status, permissions, timeout and error reporting. We then build a small measurable scope, record assumptions and expand only after quality review.
