How does a crawler work?
A crawler visits page URLs and retrieves their content. The search engine then processes the content and decides whether to index it. A crawler visit does not guarantee inclusion in the index or appearance in search results.
Page discovery and SEO
Clear site structure, internal links and an XML sitemap help crawlers discover content. Check server responses and accidental blocks on resources needed to render pages.
Instructions for crawlers
Robots.txt controls crawling but does not guarantee removal of a URL from the index. Canonical identifies a preferred version and is a signal, not an unconditional instruction. Choose each control according to its purpose.
The PAR HOUSE Agency approach
We check crawler access, internal links, sitemaps and server responses. We remove technical obstacles and monitor results. Search engines decide whether to index pages; we do not guarantee indexing times or search positions.
