What is a location asset?
A location asset in Google Ads, formerly called a location extension, adds information about a physical business location to an ad. Depending on the device and placement, it may show an address, map, distance, opening hours or directions.
Connecting and owning the data
We connect the account to a verified Google Business Profile or an approved source of business locations. We give access only to responsible people and clearly define the agency’s permissions. We keep the business name, address, telephone number and category consistent.
Choosing the right locations
We assign only locations that match the campaign’s offer and geography. We update closed or temporarily inactive locations promptly. For franchises and multiple brands, we check profile ownership and the rules for sharing location data.
Local intent and the landing page
We match the message to the person’s local need, such as a booking, visit or phone call. The landing page presents the same location, service, availability and contact details. On mobile, we make it easy to call or open directions.
Measurement and quality control
We review direction clicks, calls, visits to location pages and available location-related conversions. Modelled store visits have their own eligibility requirements and are not available to every account. We interpret results in light of the attribution window, rejected connections and visits from outside the service area.
Our approach at PAR HOUSE Agency
We connect location structure with campaigns, location pages and local SEO. Data checks reveal outdated information and incorrect assignments. We build a consistent journey from the ad to a real location where the customer can use the advertised service.
