Image and video SEO
A product photo and an instructional video have different jobs from a decorative background. We start with what the material should explain and where it will appear. Format and presentation follow that role.
Connect media to page content
Place an image near information it helps explain. Google recommends descriptive context and useful alternative text. We describe what matters in that use case rather than insert a random keyword list.
Documentation: Google Search Central.
Prepare the file for its placement
We check proportions, resolution and file size. An oversized image in a small card can add unnecessary load. Excessive reduction can hide details, so quality must be reviewed in the final view.
Give video a clear purpose
An instructional video needs a clear title and an explanation of what viewers can learn. We check playback, controls and access to important information without watching everything. Video should not replace every written explanation.
Example: a product gallery
An apparel gallery may show the complete item, fabric detail and construction. Descriptions should match the actual shots. For AI-assisted materials, product accuracy is checked before an attractive image is used to sell the item.
Check the published page
Review covers mobile and larger screens, loading and the association between media and captions. Replacing a file also requires checks of existing links and size variants. A working image URL alone does not prove that it shows the right material.
