Product label generator in PHP

A custom generator can match product data to an exact print format. A PDF preview alone does not prove a label will scan or identify the correct variant.

Define content and source

Choose required fields, variant, identifier and any price. Use approved catalogue data. Determine mandatory markings for the actual product rather than assuming one universal template.

Fit the physical medium

Specify dimensions, margins, printer and output. Long names and language characters must fit without covering codes. Do not let accidental page scaling change the label.

Protect barcode readability

Choose the symbol for its use and validate input. Preserve suitable size, contrast and clear space. Decoration must not invade the reading area.

Test the real print

Print representative samples and scan with the intended device. Compare the result with the selected variant. A correct on-screen number does not prove print quality.

Control regeneration

Record data and template versions. Price or identifier changes require a deliberate new print. Report missing data instead of producing an apparently valid blank label.
